The export volume of peanut kernels in China is about 50,000 tons per year, more than 90% of which is concentrated in Shandong Province, followed by Hebei, Tianjin, Liaoning, Sichuan, Fujian, and Guangdong. The quality of Laixi peanuts in Shandong Province is famous at home and abroad. Laixi City is known as the "Hometown of Peanuts in China". In 2005, the export of peanuts and peanut products accounted for more than 12% of the country.


In the international market, peanut kernels are graded according to their grain size, that is, the number of peanut kernels per ounce (28.35g), including: ⑴ 60-80 grains per ounce as small grains; ⑵ 40-60 grains per ounce as medium grains; ⑶ 30-40 grains per ounce as large grains; ⑷ 20-30 grains per ounce as extra large grains.
The grain difference between each grade is: small grains are 10 grains plus 60/70 or 70/80, medium and large grains are 5 grains such as 40/45, 45/50, and extra large grains are 2 grains such as 20/22. China now exports graded peanut kernels of large, medium and small grains, with large and medium grains being the main ones. The peanut kernels exported by China are generally reflected in the international market for their uniform grain size, good taste, and no aflatoxin, so they are very popular.
