Later I learned that some pumpkin seeds were exchanged by my mother-in-law for other things, or bought directly with money.
The dried fruit shops in the city supply pumpkin seeds all year round. These pumpkin seeds are pickled with oil, salt and various spices, and then dried by special machines. Although they are more crisp and the pumpkin kernels are easier to peel, the taste has lost its original purity. Compared with those finely processed pumpkin seeds, the original pumpkin seeds are a precious snack memory for me when I was growing up in the countryside. Today, I still love this unprocessed pumpkin seeds, perhaps because it contains a deep nostalgia for my childhood.
